The meeting was held at Progress Point, Marel’s unique training and demo facility in Copenhagen Denmark, where investors were able get a broad understanding of Marel’s activities and to experience the full potential of the company’s equipment and integrated systems in a hands-on environment.
The ambitious agenda was split into three sessions. The first focused on Marel as a global leader in the food processing equipment and services to the poultry, meat and fish industries.
The three presenters, CEO Árni Oddur Thórdarson, CFO Linda Jónsdóttir and Árni Sigurdsson, EVP of Strategy and Business Development, gave detailed presentations on how Marel’s clear and proven growth strategy is centered on key macro drivers, solid operational performance and dynamic business model going forward.
The second session centered on innovation and the efficient delivery of Marel’s products and services to our customers. Sigurdur Ólason, EVP of Marel Fish, and Henning Beltestad, CEO of Lerøy Seafood Group, gave excellent presentations on how important Marel's partnership with its customers is when it comes to delivering the exact solutions needed to maximize processing potential and product yield.
In order to demonstrate this, Roger Claessens, Manager of Research & Development in Marel Poultry, described how Marel strives to offer best-in-class technology to transform the industry and address customer needs.
These solutions need to be available at the right time, with the right quality and at the right cost. Folkert Bölger, EVP of Supply Chain, therefore shared his insight into how Marel’s global supply chain ensures the seamless flow and integration between different applications, resulting in higher overall efficiency.
The third and last session of the day was a live demo experience of some of Marel‘s newest and most exciting technology that is truly advancing the way food is processed.
This hands-on experience was much appreciated by investors and a welcome change from the more formal presentations. Our great thanks go to the product specialists who truly inspired our guests with their passionate introductions to Marel’s key poultry products.
