Information

The ALPINE (Anatomic Leg Processor Innovative New Evolution) leg processor ensures simplified, proven performance across a broad weight range of products, between 1.2 and 4.5 kg. With user-friendly operation, robust design, and consistent optimal performance over an extended period, it delivers high-yield leg cuts with low complexity and minimal adjustments during production.

A consistent job

ALPINE is a state-of-the-art anatomic leg solution that excels in consistent performance, ensuring a high yield, product quality, and meat integrity. ALPINE maximizes leg meat and skin harvesting, capturing nearly 100% of the oyster meat by keeping the joint between the oyster and other leg meat fully intact. Despite its compact size, ALPINE is robust enough to minimize the need for frequent maintenance.

Easy control

ALPINE is equipped with an HMI touchscreen for entering the appropriate recipe, taking into account the weight, shape and size of the incoming flock. The mechanical settings will then follow these recipe instructions. In addition to this easy control, the screen can also display
Manual settings at three positions can be made for the entire flock or even the entire production day, maintaining a stable, consistent operation.

Legs stay in the shackle – Hip Dislocation Wheel

ALPINE employs a unique and patented Hip Dislocation Wheel located in the middle, actively taking control of the hip tilting movement without exerting any forces on the leg and without taking legs out of the shackle. In this way, legs stay fully controlled in the shackle throughout the process, resulting in improved performance.

Back piece detection

In leg processing, back pieces need to be separated correctly, preventing faulty legs from advancing to the Thigh Fillet System. Once the ALPINE system has processed the leg, it detects whether the back piece has really been integrally separated, both for left and right legs. PDS software ensures that faulty legs are directed to a drop station for rework.

Saving labor

ALPINE saves labor because its operation demands little to no human intervention. Thanks to the low complexity, minimal adjustments are needed during production. Operating consistently throughout a flock or even a whole production day, its simplicity and low sensitivity to maintenance reduce dependence on skilled or non-skilled labor for the operating and servicing of the machine.
ALPINE also saves labor because of its high performance in preventing product drop-outs. With so many correctly processed legs, hardly any rework is needed.

Specifications

  • ALPINE can process legs from 1.2 kg birds to the super HD range of 4.5 kg evisceration weight without adjustments needed
  • ALPINE can handle US big birds
  • Within a flock, the weight range can be very wide, with unprecedented tolerances, still without the need for adjustments
  • It can feature in an ACM cut-up system with either NT or EH shackles
  • ALPINE has a capacity of 7,200 pph [120 ppm]
  • It is fit for water-chilled and air-chilled products

Software

The integrated SmartBase machine software offers (remote) insights into back piece detection, revealing data on leg loss, unprocessed legs, and detected back pieces. This patented performance measurement of back pieces is easily accessible through the HMI touchscreen. SmartBase further monitors machine health, diagnosing motors and sensors and giving remote insight into service issues, allowing the performance to be kept in shape without physical contact.

Accessories

ALPINE can also save labor when trimming of excessive groin skin is required. The optional Anatomic Leg Skin Trimming Module HP matches a very specific product presentation when customers require it, and takes the leg products to a higher quality level. By automatically removing the groin skin, this patented solution saves a considerable amount of manual trimming labor.
