Continuous Improvement Specialist
The Continuous Improvement Lead at JBT Marel is responsible for leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives within the Spare Parts organization. This role aims to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, improve the customer experience, and foster a culture of continuous improvement through methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
This role will provide training, mentorship, and strategic guidance at the local distribution center empowering every team member to embrace and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. The ideal candidate will have experience in identifying inefficiencies, coaching teams to develop innovative solutions, and driving measurable change.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote operational excellence and a culture of continuous improvement
- Identify improvement opportunities, develop, and manage improvement plans, and lead improvement initiatives and corrective actions using Lean six sigma methodologies and tools
- Facilitate and report site continuous improvement programs including problem-solving, root cause analysis, Gemba Walks, KAIZEN events, 5S, and workshops
- Develop a continuous improvement training program in collaboration with global spare colleagues and provide training and coaching to employees on Lean and continuous improvement methodologies
- Assist in development and maintenance of documentation, including process maps, standard operation procedures (SOPs), and training materials
- Collect data and make data-driven decisions to support initiatives
- Monitor and track the impact and benefits of improvements and ensure successful and sustainable implementation in support of the company's objectives

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a process optimization, project management, or operations role
- Green Belt certification or higher and relevant project experience using Lean principles
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Strong analytical skills: proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or Tableau
- Strong capabilities in value-stream mapping and Lean tools including standard work
- Strong communication skills and project management skills with the ability to influence and drive change across the organization
- Strong oral and written communication skills and demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills
- Able to analyze and resolve complex problems
